This article originally hosts a descriptive view, but at the same time, criticism of the anti-discrimination law currently in force in Colombia. Check its contents and scope, as well as its latest reform, providing some insights about its applicability. It takes into account, as it should be, the case law component, especially as it pertains to the coexistence between the right to equality, versus the constitutionally legitimate differentiation.
Subsequently, recreate a link between the situation of religion, discrimination and persecution that occurs in these areas in the country, also highlighting the latest developments.
It culminates with a series of proposals to help identify what may be the most appropriate way forward.
