From a judgment of the Supreme Court of the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) which recognizes the right of an employee who professes the Adventist faith not to work on religious grounds on Saturday, and the obligation of the employer to make an accommodation reasonable to enable it to fulfill their religious duties, the article briefly analyzes the different ways in which cases are presented conscientious objection; the possible ways of resolving the conflict between conscience and law; the link between religious freedom and discrimination conscientious objection; and some background in Argentine law and comparative analysis on the subject.
