More than three years after the appearance of Covid-19, this paper reflects on the way in which the pandemic has been tackled in Latin American countries, with the aim of being able to detect the weaknesses and strengths of a system which, in accordance with the international legal framework and that of each state, must be respectful of fundamental rights. An analysis that would be desirable on the part of states in order to turn the extraordinary situation of a pandemic of unimaginable scope into an opportunity to resolve future threats.
